February 7 Point: Do not imitate evil but good (3 John 11) Story: Who’s your hero? Feb 14 Point: Seek glory for God not myself Story: Nebuchadnezzar learns a lesson February 21 Point: Fix our eyes on Jesus (Heb. 12:2) Story: Man pleases vs. God pleasers February 28 Point: The Little Light of Mine Story: Tabitha let her light shine and we should too Pray for these characteristics in your child: to imitate Jesus, seek God’s glory, keep their eyes on Jesus, let their light shine Example prayers: God, I pray that my child(ren) would imitate good and not evil. Help them to learn more and more about you so that they will know what the ultimate example is to live. We live in a dark world where there is a lot of evil. I pray that my child(ren) would be an example of You to others and realize You are their ultimate hero. Lord, it is so easy to do what our flesh wants us to do. I pray this day that my child(ren) would not seek glory for themselves, but instead, seek glory for You. Help them to realize that when they seek glory for themselves it brings temporary rewards, but when they seek Your glory it brings eternal rewards. Lord, so many times we are trying to gain the approval and praise of man. I pray that my kids would focus on You and what You would have for their lives. Help them to realize that the awards of man are temporary, but the rewards from You last FOREVER!! Lord, we live in a dark world, but you have called us to be a “light.” To be a light we must stand out and be bright. We are called to be different. I pray that my kids will be strong enough to stand up for you. That they will have the courage to be different than the crowd and they will be bold enough to add “salt and light to the earth.”
